Can't recognize Compiler 911? Skins and much more in the new release.

01 August 2009

Looking at the new version of Compiler 911 You would be probably pleasantly surprised with the new look of our compiler's IDE. You will be even more exited when opening "Tools->Environment Options->Looks & Styles". Compiler 911 seems to have the most customizable IDE in the world...

IDE Improvements

Skins and customization. 3 customization levels are available for You:

  • Global: You can assign a style to the whole application by one click.
  • Group: You can assign an individual style for different groups of controls: grids, trees, panels, bars etc.
  • Individual: You can assign an individual style for almost every control in the application. It is possible to set the Module Explorer to be painted with the one skin and the Object Explorer with an another one for example.
All styles can be divided into 3 classes:
  • Skin: Skinned painting means that controls are painted (or rendered) from skin bitmaps. Requires more system resources than other styles.
  • Style: Painting is made by application, without using of pattern bitmaps.
  • Native (XP and later): painting made by operating system.
There is a list of about 15 styles which can be applied (2 skins among them) and this list will be enlarged in the future.

Resource Editor

  • The new "Resource List" mode of viewing files is available now. The most valuable option missing in other resource editing tools to our mind. You can group, search, sort resource items in the any way You like.
  • Resource file processing perfomance is greately improved. Now we can open files much faster than all other resource editors, which can never handle such a big files as we can. 10 000, 100 000 or even 1 000 000 resource items per file is not a problem for Compiler 911.

Source Code Beautifier

Source code beautifier shemes are disabled in this release. But we are going to present You it's deeply improved version the next edition of Compiler 911.
